The Madness of Howard Hughes
We all know the story of Howard Hughes. We all know how he ended up, and why he ended up there.
For those not in the know, here’s a quick bio of the man.
This portrait, done entirely in paint splatters, is my attempt to not only portray the myth around the man, but to approximate his decaying mental state and persistent chronic pains brought on by a near fatal plane crash in 1946.
Oils on 18” x 24” canvas.
