The Madness of Howard Hughes

The Madness of Howard Hughes

We all know the story of Howard Hughes. We all know how he ended up, and why he ended up there.

For those not in the know, here’s a quick bio of the man.

This portrait, done entirely in paint splatters, is my attempt to not only portray the myth around the man, but to approximate his decaying mental state and persistent chronic pains brought on by a near fatal plane crash in 1946.
Oils on 18” x 24” canvas.

The Madness of Howard Hughes belongs to the following groups:

1 on 1: The Fine Art of Portraiture , All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical, Dark artists, dark art, Oil Painting and Painters In Modern Times - TWO PER DAY
