The mausoleum, now somewhat in disrepair, within Downhill Demesne, Castlerock, County Londonderry N.Ireland was erected between 1779 and 1783 and was dedicated by the Earl of Bristol and Bishop of Derry, Fredrick Hervey to his brother George Hervey, the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. It was closely modeled on the mausoleum at St. Remy, France. The structure was badly damaged in a huge storm in 1839 and was not repaired.
