Blackhead lighthouse, which is situated on a cliff north of the coastal village of Whitehead, County Antrim, Northern Ireland was commissioned by Trinity House, The General Lighthouse Authority, and went into service in 1901. It’s light alternates with the light on Mew Island and along with a third light on The Copeland Islands direct shipping both in and out of Belfast Lough.
