Ballycopeland Windmill 1
The windmill at Ballycopeland, Millisle, County Down. Restored to full working order this late-18th century corn mill produced both flour and animal feed. The miller’s house and associated buildings gives a unique insight into a lost industry. Although uncertain it is estimated that Ballycopeland windmill was built around the 1780s or 90s, appearing on the first Ordnance Survey maps of the area in 1830s.
