Shari Mattox

Originally from South Florida, I’ve since lived in Atlanta, Georgia and Singapore before recently moving to Australia to embark on the next chapter of my life which includes Photography and my fledging business selling my work. Photography and travel have long been a passion of mine so over the years I’ve captured scenes and scenery that have inspired and amazed me in equal parts and a selection of these that I’m sharing with the world. More recently I’ve started experimenting with High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography and love the range of effects from photorealistic to simply artistic that are possible through these tools and techniques.

Most of my earlier photographs here were shot with my Canon 5D Mk I but I’ve since upgraded to a new Canon 5D Mk II and using either my 17-40mm f4L or my 24-105mm f4L lens but always keep a compact camera with me for those times that catch me without my DSLR – the old adage of “the best camera is the one you have with you” has proved true on many occasions!

I’ll continue to draw inspiration from the world around me and will never stop learning how to see the world from a different perspective.
