Just getting ready to post one of mine! Great minds think alike huh??? ;o)) Glad you made it through Sandy! We didn’t have electricity for 4 days. Take care, Linda
Thank you, Linda. We lost power for 4 days, as well…but we had just recently purchased a generator. We have a wood stove, gas grill…so our only problem was the fact we couldn’t shower as we haven’t had our well pump and furnace hooked up to plug into the generator yet. We will though, eventually! We are a little higher in elevation, too, so we didn’t have the damage that you probably got. Just a few miles a way, down in elevation, it looked as though a bomb was set off! Amazing! Your picture captured the devastation! :)

Beautifully captured…But….Way too early. Hope you had power and all. We made out fine but got 22 inches of the white stuff…Sure is pretty…The 1st snow… We might be in for a LOOOng winter…lol
Yes….WAY too early! It is pretty…but I prefer warmth. :) Thanks! :)

We had a generator a long time ago, but sold it! duh! Living here we have never been without for more than a few hours, hard way to learn a lesson. Our grill just did not want to work, ( I think it was too cold). I got out my old cast iron skillets, and taught my son how to cook on the fireplace. We had some real “Little House on the Prairie” moments! ;O))) have a great day! Linda
We lose power a lot…and for long periods of time…or so it seems. I should have purchased a generator a long time ago! It certainly does bring to light how hard our ancestors had it and how easy we have it. Each time we lose power, I am thankful I’m from this day an age, and not from “the olden days”. And also glad I’m not Amish. lol
