Don’t be too surprised when I tell you this is nearly unaltered. A few colours taken out (lowered saturation) and blacks added – this is pretty close to all that was done.
The shot was taken in the “Tunnel of Love” located at Paronella Park, Far North Queensland.
Although half of it is closed, if you’re able to brave the oozing mud, the fluttering bats and the gigantic huntsmans, you can venture half way down the tunnel.
I wished they’d open the other end so I can do the same shot with a bit more distance in it. Though I am pleased with this one the way it is.
Standing in the middle of the tunnel with a colony of bats nesting above my head. Taken at 4:50pm armed only with a Dolphin Torch to light the walls, a tripod and the trusty Olympus E30 with a 14-54mm lens.
This photo is not representative of Paronella Park in any way what-so-ever, but it’s a great place to experiment with tunnel photos :)
The surprise features – JPG Cast Offs, Abstract Realism and Olympus Four Thirds (all within 22 hours yay).
