The Sweet Dew by Paul Davis

Well, this is it…. I finally found the balls to put up a cliché of a photo – but no… this is way different from all the other fairy water droplet photos – why?

Because this is on baby sugar cane (awwww, they’re so cute when they’re small).

None of this grass stuff, this is pure North Queensland sugar cane grown in my back garden (not an ornamental, but actually farmed).

All us Queenslanders are very familiar with the sugar cane fields… But how many actually walk through them on a dew drop morning?

No added colour or light, no cropping (that’s how macro should be right?), no manipulating… The background colour (although blurred) is the red soil it’s grown on!

Straight from the camera to your Internet :)

Tack-sharp focus on the water drops and I do agree that sugarcane is cute when it’s little. It’s not so cute when it’s several metres tall and you have to walk through it! :-)

  • I choose to (usually) walk around it :) Thanks for the awesome comment Rosanne, glad you liked.
