Millaa Millaa Falls - Queensland - Australia by

Millaa Millaa Falls – my most photographed falls.

Panorama Shot Not suitable for thumbnail viewing.

Located in the pristine Tropical Far North of Queensland high on the Tablelands, nestled in lush tropical rainforest is the most magical and romantic spot on earth. Millaa Millaa Falls is my most photographed natural beauty.

This is the first time I’ve managed to photograph it on three separate photos and stitch them together to form this one panorama shot.

At the time of the shot lighting was terrible, tourists were everywhere and a car was parked where I wanted my tripod. It appeared as though this photo was never going to happen.

So I was very surprised when I got home to find I had this shot sitting there ready to go.

The photograph has been greatly decreased in quality so it can sit here.

This is a truly magnificent place and no matter how good the photo is, it still won’t ever do these falls any justice.

Thank you for looking and reading.

Please also note, unlike some photographers (no names here) this shot has not (yes, that is NOT) been photoshopped or edited other than stitching the three shots together. This is exactly as it is seen and exactly as the camera took it :) – this is what makes it ever so much more pleasing!

At least there’s plenty of water at the moment ! Nice shot!!

  • Tell me about it – an Easter without rain is an unlikely event up here :) Though we had some nice days at Innot!

great shot and work Paul,we were up there recently and its a beautiful spot

  • Thanks David – it is a beautiful spot and it’s truly my favourite waterfall. But getting it in the right light just hasn’t been my thing – but I am still pretty happy with the outcome here (first attempt at panorama with these falls). I think we’re all pretty lucky living this way that’s for sure!

nice panorama man….has a ken duncan and a bit of peter lik feel to it. well done.

  • Thanks dude – though, not as keen on the Lik fellow you talk of – find his work far from the natural – seeing as this is what the picture really should look like (no editing that is). Thanks heaps for the comment – much appreciated :)

Hun this is gorgeous. Nice pano. Makes me wanna go there and dive in. lol

  • That was annoying me on that day too – so many tourists – hmmmmm haha… so I had only about 25 seconds to snap these three shots before the next tourists entered the photo frame… Why I am also so pleased… one (three) chance to get it right… It is a very romantic and beautiful spot to visit. And of course the obligatory photo :)
