Sailing the Inlet
Trinity Inlet – Cairns
This was a bit experimental with my camera – and a test more than anything. But I liked the outcome.
Taken at 4:43pm (the sun was getting low) from the 8th floor of the Hilton in Cairns using a 300mm lens at F/22 on an Olympus E30.
The major difference was… the ISO was turned up to 3200 so the shutter was only fired for 1/1600th.
I know it’s not perfect – but I needed to see what affect the maxed out F number and ISO would do…

Hmmm…. I don’t like it :)

Now what happened to playing nice?

Haha :) I’m sorry. The blue water is gorgeous, I just don’t like the boat being overexposed. I wanna see what they’re doing! But overall it is a nice pic :) I bet people just sit and stare out that 8th floor window for hours and hours…...

this is such a peaceful shot, i think the stillness of the water adds true affect :-)
