Well, the strangest thing happened today, or tonight I guess it was. My cousin caroline gave birth to a son, Jack Gordon-Merrick Tate… I guess the birth wasn;t too much of a surprise, although about two weeks early (you’ll have to excuse me for celebrating too much and not being as perfect in everthing written like usual).
The strange thing was that for some odd reason they decided to give him two middle name, both of which were mine first… ok, well Merrick was my mom’s famly name before marriage, but Gordon was mine… ok, Gordon was my mom’s fathers name… BUT, the combination was mine. To top this one off, they asked me to be the Godfather, which is funny indeed considering I haven’t een been to church since I was 8 and I’m not Italian… (another one of those part too much jokes).
So, here I was, coming up on my 25th birthday, and I was friggn depressed as hell in a way because for quarter a century I don’t feel, didn’t feel like I had done much… and I’m not likely to have a kid… or whatever, so I was kind of moping and trying to keep occupied as much as I couldwith other things. And here comes this kid who if you dropped the parentheses would be me all over again. It’s like a new chance in someone else.
Wow, I bet tomorrow, baring a hangover I will have something much more eloquent to say, and I will fix this thing so it’s pretty. For now though, I though you all of you should know because you’ve been like a second (often better) family to me recently. So thanks…

ps . go with the flow i dont think we are in touch with my sons godparents anymore
since one got divorced and lost touch with the others, its seems you value the task though Gordon,
