Throw your bike on the train in downtown Munich and in under 90 minutes you’ll be in the Alps, alighting at the charming village of Mittenwald, famed for its woodcarvers, violin makers and Mittenwalder beer. From here you have a choice of many well maintained hiking/biking trails that will take you up to its beautiful alpine valleys and lakes.

The previous year we discovered the equally beautiful light of New Zealand’s Southern Alps. Please visit my website at SKYSTUDIOHAWAII.com
