Bert is doing his best to disappear into the background by blending with the colours of the old timber shed.

My now 1yo quarter horse colt is nearly 15hh already (wee call him Shorty being as he’s so tall for his age), and he doesn’t know it yet, but life is about to deal him a crushing blow – he is due to be gelded. Maybe that’s why he’s trying to disappear?

    it’s a tough life, but they can’t all be studs – honest opinion of the breeder (me), he makes a fabulous gelding but an inferior stallion
