What a little beauty, just look at that tail swishing ! Mother is very beautiful.

Splendour is so proud of herself she was nearly bursting, you’d have laughed seeing her trot down the paddock to show him to me after the birth!
KMorral
Awww- adorable (from your mare?) She looks a loving, protective mum. Great capture
skyhorse replied
Yeah, Splendour is mine :) I waited 6 years to buy her from the stud, this is only her second foal & she is a fabulous mum
aimznabz
aw cute =] the mothers very pretty also !
skyhorse replied
thank you! being completely biased myself, I’d hardly disagree LOL
Antanas
lovely shot
skyhorse replied
thanks Antanas, was hard light to work in as only about 6.40am when I took this shot, he was almost brand new :)
KatsEye
Just gorgeous. Beautiful mare and foal. Excellent and Congratulations!
skyhorse replied
the long wait & endless hormone injections for Splendour have proven well worth the extra effort (mare stops producing enough hormones to stay pregnant on her own, which is why the stud sold her on to me, as I don’t expect her to foal every year)
KatsEye
That is too bad because it looks like she throughs awesome babies. I would take you too in a heartbeat. Love appy’s.
skyhorse replied
well I’m happy to do the shots every month if I get this result
KatsEye
I would too. I wish I could have had Misty breed. I have tried twice to no luck. She would not except the stud. Kicked the living hell out of them. Now she is just too old.

What a gorgeous mare and foal, Sunny is definitely a wish worth waiting for, isn’t it fantastic when dreams come true. Lovely image.
skyhorse replied
thanks so much Stacey, he sure is a dream foal & I feel very lucky
Wendy Slee
Your mare is so beautiful and what a fine and handsome baby…..This is a great photo and I can just tell your heart was bursting with joy!!!
skyhorse replied
thanks Wendy, this mare is one of only a handful of daughters of the gorgeous Nevada Colida, I waited 6 years to own her & took another year to decide to breed with her – wow, was it ever worth the wait! I don’t know who was more busting with pride, me or the mare :)
SandyK
Fantastic image, I can see the love! He looks so much like his namesake, how wonderful for you!
skyhorse replied
my dream colt – needless to say the stallion owners are pretty impressed too (sadly I got the only coloured colt from the stallion this season, my 2nd appaloosa colt this season is a solid)
Tom Gomez
Very cute …
skyhorse replied
awww, thanks Tom
Diana-Lee Saville
awwww I would like one like him!!! Maybe I should put Luna to an appy stallion! :))
skyhorse replied
Maybe you should try that – I’d recommend “Ultimate Affair” over at Oregon Park (Sunbury/Melton way), he’s a guaranteed colour producer
Cheryl Ridge
Just lovely, what a flashy little boy – congrats all round!! :-))
skyhorse replied
thanks Cheryl, #2 has arrived & all the Nevada foals are born, so time to arrange a trip over with ya camera :)
