I was down at the local jetty during storm winds photographin the waves lapping the jetty. Much damage was done that night…as I was photographing these two young guys walked past me into the storm.. better them then me I thought LOL

It’s a bracing, daunting scene but funny, too, in the way the surfer on the right is glancing down at his foot as if to say oh, gosh, I stepped in a puddle. This shot exemplifies Cartier Bresson’s decisive moment – in the picture’s energy, its composition, the attitudes of the two surfers, the anticipation of what’s to come. Great work.
