The Other Woman
The Other Woman belongs to the following groups:
All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical, Freedom In Words & Art, Up & Coming Writers and WMGShe wears earrings to bed
And wakes up coiffed,
Nails blood red—triumphant.
Lovers never leave her,
And husbands leave their wives,
Whose jewelry sleeps in chests—
And, heaving extra poundage
Out of bed, she takes black
Coffee with her breakfast cigarette.
She prowls the better malls,
Balanced precariously on
Four-inch heels,
Trolling for that special someone,
Whose unmet needs will
Make her the love of his life—
But secure in the knowledge
That she will never be the one
Who has to drive the kids to school.

Thank you. ”...what’s done is done.” Somehow, that’s comforting.

Skip….this is the sort of woman you really can’t mess with….WARNING !!! lol
Skip Ward replied
I wish someone had told me this when I was young. Not that it would have done any good. I was blind to red flags. All I can say is—been there and done that. lol. God, men are stupid…

I’ll take that warning! hehe! another great piece of writing! so descriptive, i can picture it like a scene from a movie. Brilliant work :)
Skip Ward replied
Thanks Ben. I think, though, that warnings are pretty much useless to most men. They were to me. I’ve always leapt heartfirst into unknown water, without checking its depth…and have spent a lot of time in traction.

Thank you. I can write about such things now because, for the most part, I stay out of trouble. (Riiiight)
