Several of those many years in college (eons ago) were spent seriously studying fine art and particularly photography. Okay, as much as I “seriously” studied anything, that is.

I was fortunate to have two extraordinary mentors, the late G. Roy Levin, who taught me an appreciation for documentary and “untainted” images, and Dicran Derderian, who encouraged me in his unique and scary way to make all this FUN.

Unfortunately, for quite a few years after college while I was seriously working—this time literally “seriously”—in a field having nothing to do with fine art, I made images that no one saw but me and no one enjoyed or appreciated but me. In the past several years, however, I began first to show some things informally, then in a number of organized exhibits. Now I’m showing with some frequency as I’ve begun to network with other artists locally and nationally. The internet has been another fun way to expose my photography to the public, and I appreciate and enjoy the feedback sites such as this one bring.

I am currently a member of the Community of I’On Artists (affectionately known as the “CIA”) and an exhibiting member of the Charleston Artists Guild. Images may be seen in their exhibits from time to time.

I work primarily in digital media; some traditional silver images (film and paper) on occasion. I enjoy opportunities to do custom work for a particular space or idea. Please contact me directly for this.

My prints are made on an Epson Stylus Professional 3800 and in most cases printed on Lexjet or Moab paper. Prints can be made on canvas by special arrangement.

Studio work is done in a small but happy little space appended to my home in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
