These images represent my personal favorites from a recent journey to Guatemala. I’d been been a regular fixture in Guatemala 10 years ago, but was very curious how the country had changed.
I was afraid that it might have become westernized and that it’s glorious, colorful culture might have been white-washed away in favor of McDonald’s and Walmart stores.
Happy to report, my fears were unwarranted! Guatemala is still very much the vibrant culture I recall from a decade ago.

it still works… but it’s been commandeered by foreign spam outfits and Yahoo tells me there’s nothing they can do. All I can do is eventually drop it. Sad but true.
