Sandra Wicklund (artist/owner of WICKLUND Photography and Design) strives to expose the fine details of the beauty that surrounds us and enhances the environment with which we interact. This drive is carried over to portraits and capturing the details of the various seasons of our lives.
From a young age, Sandra was fascinated with the colorful and exotic photographs in National Geographic magazines. In high school she once had a fleeting thought that it would be cool to go to graphic design school, but despite the lure of National Geographic and the graphic design school recruiter, she decided to stick with her life-long and “practical” dream of being an elementary teacher. While teaching is still a love of hers, she realizes that her joy and talent lie with photography and design and has gone back to her elementary and high school dreams to pursue her artistic passion.
*Written in the third person by Sandra Wicklund (because it makes me sound more important which I guess impresses people). I am fun, goofy, and an energetic photographer who desires to be real with clients and the way I present my work. I am easily intimidated by fancy words, other photographers/artsy folk, and Oscar the Grouch, but I love the world of art and the people who create it.
