My first time photographing a wild black bear. Taken in Kouchibouguac National Park in northeast New Brunswick in late July.

I am a biologist by training and consider myself a seriously addicted semi-professional nature photographer. This addiction is currently partially controlled by me still having a full-time job. All bets will be off when I can retire in a few years

Great shot – I have a couple from our trip to BC this summer but I was so completely unprepared for it that they are just not good – next time eh!!! Use to having a bit of wire between them and us – hee hee!
