    Is this a Soundgarden reference?

    Halftone mayhem, good work.

  • sjem © replied

    Yes.

No. Actually, it’s a Michael Jackson tribute tee.

lovely design. i’ve been experimenting with circular designs of late, did you see my most recent upload? it shares some slight similarities with this one.

If you ever find an old black & white “Man from U.N.C.L.E” card from the 60s (you can pick them up at collector fairs) look on the back and you will see gorgeous textures like these (re: enlarged view on rhs).
The cards when turned over and placed in numerical order would reveal the face of one of the shows characters and I always found the black & white hafetones the most wonderous thing the way they hid the finished product so well.
They were blow up so much that resembled your sample on the right to a tee (no pun intended)
When you stood back the transformation was startling.
    Wow what a memory rush.

Now where the fuck have you been?
And where are the building you’ve been making?

  • sjem © replied

By that reckoning, I could do say, nine t-shirts with uber huge halftones, then have nine people wear them to make an uber huge image … that could be rather fecking cool.

  • sjem © replied

I’ve been busy, and don’t be silly. none of the buildings I work on get ‘made’, this is a recession.
