Oasis | SUPERSONIC (click through to the music video which I had never seen till last night and incredibly, is full of passenger jets).

This tee has been simmering away for quite a while. The jets are all computer renders of a modified copyright free 3d model.

Super fantastic job! How intelligent using an Oasis theme… they will surely eat that up. The close up is really nice too.. i like all the different textures.

I’m not going to be much help, but i think it looks best on both white and black….

Holy crap – this is the stuff!

Beautifully done sir – for my money, white or black would be the go for the reasons that many have mentioned above.

Out of curiosity, did you try reversing out the sound waves against the text? T’would be interesting to see how that would look also (If you were to go for the black tee, I’d suggest reversing them out completely, but keeping the type in black).

Top 20 with a sonic boom, methinks!

Excellent advice Simon, thank you. I tried the sound waves in white and wasn’t convinced – BUT having them subtracted out completely is a fecking great idea, I’ll give that a go tonight. I’m thinking removing them out from just the text may be the goer.

How come Bryan ? I’m open to any thoughts, crits and suggestions. Are not a flyer ? Don’t like Oasis ? Did I over cook the text ? Does my bum look too big in these ? Is my hair okay or has the heat made it go curly again ?

Never much liked Oasis, but the problem for me is that it seems just way too commercial, to give it a word. I don’t much care for big slogans on tshirts, and while the plane is nice and all, it’s too full of gradients and not much else to take my attention away from the big fuck off text. It just looks all a bit too much like something I could buy at Kmart, rather than something you’d do. Without the text at all it’d probably look alright, but still not something I’d swoon over. Also, I thought hair went curly from rain, not heat. My back hair does, at least.

Mate thanks for being straight up with your thoughts, I really value that. I admit the fuck off text is a real departure style wise, and in many ways your dead right, I was really thinking about the kind of thing you find in a store and how to appropriate that for my own nefarious purposes. I guess what that means is that this entry is both a success and a failure.

Dunno exactly what type of jets these are, but that’s a moot point … they’re actually subsonic (3D models), not super sonic. Eh, just something totally anal retentive, but it’s just something that any pilot with not too many qualifications at all would notice, da’s all.
