Saltaire is a self-contained mill village created by the renowned worsted manufacturer and philanthropist Sir Titus Salt. He built it in the (then) rural Aire valley north of Bradford so that his workers might escape the poor conditions of the smoke-clogged and crowded city centre.

I was fortunate to live in the village for a few years, and whenever the light was good, was sure to be out with my camera to capture glow of the beautiful Yorkshire stone.
