Stoodley Pike is a hill above the Upper Calder Valley in West Yorkshire probably best known for its monument. This pinnacle is visible for miles around and is particularly conspicuous from the town of Todmorden in the valley below.
This was my second trip to the moor to capture this image. The first time stubborn cloud led to dull grey light and high winds to camera shake. Better weather, faster ISO/shutter speed plus my camera bag hanging off the tripod yielded better results.
