“LIFE IS A GREAT BIG CANVAS,
THROW ALL THE PAINT ON IT
THAT YOU CAN”
It had been snowing that day (a couple of years ago) and I had an old but trusty little car, driving down the steep hill to Widecombe-on-the-Moor was quite a special moment, even though I was nervous of those icey roads. My memories were so full of childhood times visiting this enchanting place with my parents and seeing the Dartmoor ponies walking around the village. Not much had changed when I came this time – decades later! What an enchanting place, and the old pub was still there. I sat in the old pub with my ex-husband when we were camping around Dartmoor in 1991.
As a child I always had a fascination for the Dartmoor and Widecombe pixies.
