Years ago – back in my previous life – I was a sales rep working out of Teignmouth and my territory was most of Dorset and small parts of Somerset and Hampshire. I had calls in Lyme Regis every six weeks, likewise all the other small towns in the area. Those i can remember are Bridport, Blandford Forum, Swanage, Weymouth, Corfe, Dorchester to name but a few. It was a great area to work and I was always pleased to visit your home town – and usually I managed to grab a fews quick photos before moving on. This is a wonderful viewpoint that shows the lie of the land very well as I seem to remember ( it WAS a long time ago) that the main street was fairly steep – right? Seeing this photo, and others you have posted of the town, brings it all back to me and I am so pleased to have ‘found’ you!
    Take care
    Peter

  • Hi Peter … thanks so much for your comments and story …. yes, the main street is hilly .. as are the surrounding areas puff puff! I love Teignmouth ~ and especially neighbouring Shaldon ~ cheers :)
