This is part of the work by sculptor Michael Fairfax ~ I would love to spend more time playing with the angles of this terrific sculpture but too many people around and not enough time so may have to go back sometime … played with Topaz filters and blending layers to give this more depth as it was shot it bright sunlight :)
from Michael Fairfax site:
The Exeter riddle sculpture, stainless steel, stone and stands 6.5 metres high in the centre of Exeter. There are eight panels, each with a riddle laser cut into the stainless steel in mirror writing. The panel opposite reflects the words so they can be read. The spheresat the base contain the answer to the riddles; these are reflected onto the panels. The riddles are from the 9th century Exeter Book which contain approximately 90 riddles. These riddles are in a translation by Kevin Crossley Holland from which these 8 were taken. Client: Devon County Council and Devon City Council.
