Soooo… this is my clearly my design and you’ve been selling it for at least a year now? Seriously, people like you make actual creators sick. Take it down immediately – I’ve reported your copyright infringement.

    Thanks (jerk),
    Sincerely, See Mike Draw.

  • Hi Mike! I don’t know about your design but I posted mine on December 2011, RedBubble can confirm that to you. And I’ll be glad to talk to them, really.
I’ve never seen your design, otherwise I would have dropped the idea. We just came up with the same idea, that’s all. Honestly if you want to put together the tardis and the wicked witch’s famous feet how many ways are there to do it?

  • In short: same idea (separately) but NOT same design. My own tardis is seen from above, yours is seen from a lower point of view. My tardis is more elaborate than yours (I’m NOT saying it’s better here, just different) and the legs also are different. The internet is full of pictures of those legs trapped under various kind of things, I couldn’t find anything with a tardis in it so i made it. Simple as that. I didn’t even suspected your existence, Mike. I don’t deserve to be called bad names.

Sirwatson, firstly I do want to apologise for my tone – it was uncharacteristically blunt of me. To give you some context, I’ve recently had a bunch of people misappropriating my work and so I’m particularly sensitive to it. People have no shame and take the exact artwork or redraw it and try to sell on popular sites. So having said that, I do acknowledge that the same idea can be generated by two people independently of each other, and I believe from your response that I kinda jumped the gun on this one. I’d particularly like to retract the jerk part!

  • Hi! It’s all OK, really. Apology accepted. Maybe I would have jumped to the same conclusion, I don’t know. And I totally understand why you reacted like that. I got like 3 designs stolen in the past few months, a real nightmare. Sometimes I think it’s not worth the effort. But anyway, I’m glad we sorted this mess out. My best wishes for your work!
