Another quickie, 3 hours from go to ‘hold it right there Mister, before you muck it up!’
As usual vibrant colour and light are my inspirations, so I hope you enjoy the ‘blaze’ :)

Artrage 3 digital painting using oil, ink pen, and palette knife tools, with a hidden layer using the paint tube tool to give depth and texture to the flowers and oranges. Aiptek graphics tablet

love it, is that real or digital?

  • Thanks so much Lara! :) This is digital, but the program I use for my work is probably the closest you can get to the look of ‘real’ painting. I’d love to be able to paint traditionally, but my current circumstances – a tiny house and two VERY active boys – make that very difficult…so digital painting is a great option for me :)

May I ask you again…What program do you use?

  • Thanks for the visit Lara, and the program’s called ArtRage Studio Pro. You can download it at, quite cheap at $80, but they have even cheaper versions. I think they’re selling the earlier ArtRage 2.6, which I’ve done most of my work on until the last few months, for about $20. A bargain, and great if you want to play for a while without committing yourself to the extra dollars.

This wonderful artwork has been featured in FADP! Congratulations!

  • Thanks so much for the feature Joan, and sorry about the slow reply. Bought a new PC, and my prehistoric brain has struggled to get it set up! :))
