Photograph of fall foliage, north of Montreal, Quebec, in 2008.
My favorite time of year to take pictures occurs in that narrow window of time during September and October, when fall colors are at their peak.
It’s also a great time to experiment with abstraction, as the sun is lower in the sky earlier in the evening, allowing for interesting light angles, wider gamut of colors, and natural tone gradation.
Another one of my personal favorites….
