Castle Stalker by

This image features the famous Castle Stalker against a dramatic background of mountains in western Scotland, UK, Europe. Built around 1320 it gets its name from the Gaelic, “Stalcaire,” meaning hunter or falconer. The four storey tower house rests on a tiny tidal islet on Loch Laich, an inlet off Loch Linnhe. It had a starring role in the films Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Highlander and Highlander: Endgame. Photograph by Jack Simpson.
