My websites Narrowboat Images and SimplyScene
Presenting digitally worked images and photographs of the British canal network and surrounding countryside.
Digitally worked images and photographs depicting heritage and historical content.
Since a number of people of asked, why do my images have the ‘digitally painted effect’?
I wanted to move away from the standard photographic image and develop a technique that would become recognized as a ‘SimplyScene Image’. The effect is obtained via a number of stages. Always starting out with an original photograph which I take myself, using when preferable my Nikon d70 but some times with a point and shoot which travels most places with me. Each image then undergoes post processing in at least two, or three other software packages.
