Trust me????

I trust people
it’s what makes me…. me

I listen to what people tell me
I believe what they say
is this a foolish mistake or not
To trust or not to Trust?

Do we need to trust ?
or do we trust
it makes life easier
so we dont cause a ripple
on this pond we call life

we are called bitter

or cynical
if we do not trust…

I welcome new
and old friends
with a smile and chat
all the while never
maybe when
they walk away
do they… could they…
but have they
the same trust in me?

if a secret shared
two friends
can travel further than
the eye can see
who do you trust?

I give eye contact
I trust me ….
I believe in me
I take the secrets of my friends
they stay inside my soul
but do they
truly truly trust me?

Oh Red That was an awesome write you are a wise knowing lady. I trust but not at first, perhaps it’s self preservation, or once bitten twice shy. Trust is earned that’s what I feel and it truly needs to be reciprocal. I also think instincts play a part as well..A well written thought inspiring write!!

  • thanks so much…you always encourage me xxx

You definitely have voiced a big subject in an eloquent probing prose.
I guess we can be trusting and find out what we trusted in was not trustworthy.
It means our what we trusted in was not so …but does not dilute the trust we initially had….I guess it makes us more cautious in ourselves.. well that is what happens to me.
We have a choice to remain true to our trustworthy heart and know we risk more than those that do not. The choice is ours and the results of risk taking can make us wary.
I find these days I try to stop myself a little and check out the landscape if there is time and if not then I hope my intuition has my radar working well.
Sorry…. went off on a wee bit of a rant here!

  • I enjoy your rants!!! they always make me smile…I like yr comment “check out the landscape” and yes a deep subject but a ponder really …I like to ponder…xxx

I tend to trust all until I find that certain people are not trust worthy.
if some one doesn’t care to trust me. Oh well that falls under, what they think of me is none of my busness. I’ll say no more….trust me! :)
love your writing very much. it’s a fav. Mark

  • why thank you kind sir…just a ponder xx

aaahhhh…to trust or not to trust…a big gamble in life and love…but trust we must. Trust is such a vast thing. Sometimes it must be gained depending on the circumstances. pppsssstttt….that’s my curse and gift too…I trust too many, for it’s in my nature, heart, soul and blood. PHENOMINAL write!!!! Big hugs, Lisa =) XO

  • thanks Lisa trust is a HUGE thing xx

REd this is an important question and appropriate here on RB. Some of us give so freely and openly that it could be misconstrued and dis trust can so easily arise from situations that otherwise would have passed by without notice. Trust yourself for your judgement as even the ‘so called mistakes’ that evolve serve to tell you something you need to know. Recently I trusted a person and it turned sour on me, but that in itself was the lesson… it showed me who NOT to trust! So, go about life without too deep a delve, most people here are genuine and loving.

  • thanks Betty and yes trust ids a great value to have and to give xx
