Raised on a diet of Doctor Who, Tolkien, Dungeons & Dragons and comic books, Simon Sherry has been making monsters from the moment he could put a crayon to a flat surface. Combining elements of post-apocalyptic science-fantasy, post-human horror and a black sense of humour; Simon’s work is preoccupied with notions of humankind’s ability to determine the course of its own fate in the face of forces larger than itself.

ooh this be interesting… i like the way it makes you think about what the story line is…

is he pounding in some poor smucks head with a rock with only a siluetted grove of trees as a witness?

is he in some post apocayptic world of zombie ninjas? is that actually a powerplant on the right?

    you never know :D

  • Thanks for the in-depth comment mate. You’ve thrown up a couple of narrative possibilities that I hadn’t thought of, that’s for sure!

    The joys of ambiguity ;o)

Oooooor, has he been a tad over zealous trying to get that annoying foil lid off of his new Ketchup bottle – whatever he is doing I love the use of dark and light, very cool, very Milleresque.

  • Yeah, tomato sauce – the bane of every man’s existence. ;o)

Thanks for the kind words (Milleresque? I’d blush, but it’d be monochrome, so you wouldn’t notice ;o))

I assume you have only one colour cartridge on your printer other than black Simon, but fuck me you use it effectively.

  • Thanks man – AIWL didn’t even occur to me, to be honest (which reminds me, I really need to re-read that).
