The Last Stand of Super Electric Guy! by

From the mind of my nephew, Liam O’Brien, comes the ultimate battle between Good and Evil!

This piece was one of two series of works for an exhibition Tall Stories, exhibited at the Hawthorn Town Hall Gallery in 2005

cartoon, comics, hero, monster, superhero, vector, villains

Raised on a diet of Doctor Who, Tolkien, Dungeons & Dragons and comic books, Simon Sherry has been making monsters from the moment he could put a crayon to a flat surface. Combining elements of post-apocalyptic science-fantasy, post-human horror and a black sense of humour; Simon’s work is preoccupied with notions of humankind’s ability to determine the course of its own fate in the face of forces larger than itself.

This uncle is bound to be every kids dream and favorite uncle ….of all times.
Just imagine as you were a kid that you had a super skilled artist uncle that knows how to draw real hot comics at your disposal …. night and day (of course), to realize and render out any crazy dream, fantasy and freakish idea that should happen to strike your little but rapidly evolving peanut….. Real kids porn…what a blast you must be for them kids Simon…like I said : Amazing!

Thanks guys – yeah Liam (my nephew) seemed to like it when it came together :) eelroy, this was a combination of lineart drawn directly into photoshop, vectorised and coloured in adobe illustrator. As far as a medium goes, it’s probably easiest to describe as digital – some pieces are digital painting, other more mixed media traditional/digital and others, like this, tend to fall squarely into the vector art camp.

Cheers, and thanks again for the comments guys!
