Cover artwork for the first issue of Something_Weird_Quarterly, published by Local Act Comics. The linework was drawn directly into Photoshop, then vectoriesed in Illustrator CS2 using Live Trace. The piece was then coloured in Illustrator.

Raised on a diet of Doctor Who, Tolkien, Dungeons & Dragons and comic books, Simon Sherry has been making monsters from the moment he could put a crayon to a flat surface. Combining elements of post-apocalyptic science-fantasy, post-human horror and a black sense of humour; Simon’s work is preoccupied with notions of humankind’s ability to determine the course of its own fate in the face of forces larger than itself.

i envy your ability to transform whats in your beautiful twisted mind into paper or t-shirts. you are gifted mate, and this work is immense and fucking beautiful yet again.

  • Thanks for the incredibly kind words. Since I started working on tee designs here, I’ve found a style that finally ‘clicks’ for me when I look at the result, so I’ve got the people here who provide comments and feedback (such as yourself) to thank for that.

Thanks also for you other comments on my work – glad you’re enjoying them!

This work is horrid, disturbing, gross and generally disgusting….I love it!! What a talent!! I get the impression that your mind works in the same way as the extremely talented tattooist Paul Booth. Pen to paper (tattoo gun to skin) and out it comes
