Welcome to Holland
This was created by my girlfriend, Sarah. The image in the background is of her new nephew, Aiden, holding onto his mother’s finger. The text in the foreground is written by Emily Perl Kingsley in 1987.
Aiden was born with Down Syndrome. Sarah’s brother and his wife were of course extremely shocked and devastated to begin with. However, they are starting to adjust and are bonding with their child.
The text in the foreground was written for parents who have disabled children. It is very pertinent to the situation faced by these parents and their families.
