Thank you REDBUBBLE for featuring my photograph “The Italian Alps” on the Home Page. I am extremely honored and very surprised to say the least. Today is a happy day! February 9, 2009

Warmest Regards,

*The Ligurian Alps are a mountain range in northwestern Italy. They form the south-western extremity of the Alps, separated from the Apennines by the Colle di Cadibona. The Col de Tende separates them from the Maritime Alps. They form the border between Piedmont in the north and Liguria in the south.
The Ligurian Alps are drained by the Tanaro River and other tributaries of the Po River on the Piemontese side; by several smaller rivers that flow directly to the Mediterranean Sea on the Ligurian side.
The chief peaks of the Ligurian Alps are Punta Marguareis (2651 m) and Monte Mongioie (2630 m). There are several other peaks over 2000 m. (Excerpted from Wikipedia)
