A Spring Rose’s Requiem

Oh dear Spring of life,
Show us how to grow,
From the buds of spring
To the flowers of June

Nurture us as a Single Rose
So pure and so perfect
Make us strong and steadfast
Give us the aroma of our essence
Our mystical force

Make us bloom in the summer
Our fragrance drifting in the wind
We need your Elementals
To make us grow strong

Just like life itself, we sow our seed,
We grow to be nurtured and moulded
To stand alone and to be counted

Our worldly experience’s help
Each other in it’s own way.
Then our time is taken
To Reflect how one lives life

Our time is now to go forth
Meet our makers with a smile
For you see before you
Our seeds have already been planted

Life now Gone
But New Life is Beginning growing ever Strong

Requiem aeternam eis, Domine
(Grant Them Eternal Rest, O’Lord)

et lux perpetua luceat eis, requiescat in pace.
a beautiful prayer. that we might become again as we were born, a normal growing element of nature, and not as we have become in our artificial world. that we might leave a seed of grace behind, that our mark on the earth might be a word and not a stain. just such a lovely thought and a gorgeous poem.

  • Hi hsien-ku – Thank you so much for your lovely comments I am so pleased you like this and your right about “The Artificial World” we seem to live in these days – David

I can’t say it any better than Hsien did here, exactly.
a word and not a stain…the earth is both our home and our prison; we must become a part of it before we can move forward, and on.
    amazing work.

  • Hi Kristin – Thank you so much for your lovely comments also I really appreciate them . I’m very pleased that you liked this. – David

    Prayer is mostly a wish….
when death comes around the circle .
The circle is the Love we feel, dependency on a communication.
    Great mystery of survival.
Death seems to fade away Love and Life….
though…we re-surrect the dead by prayers..wishes and love again.
    Circling…
    as Nature breeding us.
    Rosa (beautiful, David..)
