Oh dear Mum, you did so well in your life,
Even coming through all life’s trials and strife.
I thank you for being my Mum,
No one could have done it better,
It is with happiness and sadness that I say these words,
You are now at peace with your soul and free from pain.

I cuddled you like you cuddled me when I was first born,
Role reversals did take place.
But oh dear Mum, I love you lots,
I hope you could see that in my face.
You have been so brave over the past few years,
And have always been there for me.
How you made me strong,
To cope and help with my own life’s agony.

Oh dear Mum, this seems so funny today,
I feel happiness with sadness all rolled into one,
That you have gone away.
Happiness with sadness all rolled into one makes this more easier,
More easier than writing a song.
I feel so proud of you dear Mum,
That I was your daughter and also your friend too.

May God bless you Mum in his world up above,
Which you now have arrived.
To meet all your loved ones since gone,
You can now be happy again and complete inside.

Oh dear Mum it is time for me to go,
My few words now seem to cease,
Or come to mind or even flow.
So it just leaves me to say,
God Bless you dear Mum,
May you now rest in peace,
May your spirit be free.
Come back to this old world once in a while,
As I still need your help in years to come,
To come and look after me!

    gabryshak

    very beautiful
i find it interesting how one deals with such loss
it appears you did the same as i
    when my father passed
i sent out a writing that said all was well
i found it purely magical that he left this world on fathers day
a day i could be with family
and to wake the next day to hear his voice through his brother
there was more… but i was so at peace about it

i’m sure the family treasures this
and your mom was a lovely lady to have raised such a beautiful, strong soul

  • silverstrummer... replied

Hi Gabryshak ….......... thank you so much for your lovely comments …...... every body’s loss effects people in so many different ways as I don’t think they are similar with each other! Definately uncanny that your father left on Father’s Daynhe timed that right didn’t he bless? You are so kind with your comments ….... my soul has definately been so much busier over the past ten years ….......trying to earn ” My Wings”!!!

    All I can say….
each soul is a genuine gem,
    faceted by feelings…
and strong and pure when unpolished.
    Feel happy for you….
being able to recollect so much Love and Gratitude.
A deposit of such energy…. sacred…. is god for us all.
I just let it go, and find a resonance in my own heart,
though history of my eventual Life may not make a character of such
    Love recall.
But I partake with your feelings and feel more human with them
You are doing well….in not being shy about your heart-mind..
each one is a poet and poet should be the real breath of evolution.
