Remember Our Heroes
Taken at the war memorial arboretum in Alrewas. The walls are engraved with all the names of all those who died serving their country since 1946 to the present day. These are left by their families when they come to pay their respects. I find this place so deeply moving. Its a place where you can go and reflect. I chose to use selective colouring to emphasise the poppies and there meaning.

wonderful the way you’ve done this. those blood red poppies. the little cross that’s fallen by the wayside. i always wonder what it would have been like to live through the wars. i think all the little things we worry about today wouldn’t have mattered then.

I couldn’t agree more, we make a fuss about nothing these days…life was far harder back then :)
