Oh come on!...A rickety wooden fence, a daunting cliff face, a strange castle, great sky, and a bird hovering just to top it all off!...I might as well close my gallery down and give up!...Amazing photo.
    1. where is it?
    2. what does the sign at the bottom say?

Hi there thanks for the interest on my picture, it sure is one of my fave places to photograph. It’s at a place called Mow Cop, in Staffordshire in the UK. After my last visit I discovered its not actually a castle and not as old as I thought. It was built by a rich land owner as a summer house but to look like a ruin. I think its 250 years old. The sigh at the bottom says ‘Do not climb on the rocks’...damn health & safety laws, lol. Anyway thanks again.

At first I wasn’t sure which of the two b&w images of the folly that I liked best, but this one with greater emphasis on the cliff and barely secured steep path conveys more of an element of lurking danger. My first fave on RedBubble.

I like this very much. It looks like the kind of castle that monks might have build, not too big or ostentatious (according to their humble ways) but secure in a hostile world.
I like the technical b&w and composition elements too, quite a lot.
