silentcries

Cough Cough Cough!! ack!!!

Hey everyone!!! i’m back!! sorta.. am having a bad cough and sore throat some.. plus running nose.. i think it’s due to the extra strong winds we seem to be getting here in sg.. will work on recovering as fast as i can..

Stall opening has taken quite a toll i guess.. running around finding last minute printer/supplier.. going to the art shop to press my own keychains and buttons.. my underarms feel less flabby now.. the downside is that, pressing too many buttons makes my wrists stiff and achy.. i think i pressed more than 300 buttons and keychains altogether.. i shall not press any buttons/keychains till mid feb!!!

I’ve met some of the friendliest stall owners there.. 2 of them bought quite a number of my buttons.. mostly Tim..

One of them, Joan, is now sorta my partner in stall.. Meaning if there’s any bazaar outside of PaTH which we’re interested in, we’ll share rental to just rent 1 area to test out the place.. Do check out her lovely blog here.. =D She make some really lovely accessories!! i love her pendants most.. They’re all very intricately shaped by herself and to date, she’d sold more than a thousand pieces!!

Joan also saw my RB gallery and was interested in my SilentCries series of drawings.. she said that i should sell them at my stall too.. it’s really kind of unbelievable and encouraging at the same time.. it’s like someone told me in person, to actually try sell my darker designs at my stall.. i guess i can give it a try, hey? i just printed 3 designs.. all 3 for myself to wear.. i think the designs here will be accepted by the emo kids, hey?

I’ll be making SilentCries designs into pendants soon.. and yea.. hope i’ll be able to get a buyer or two.. i did make them into buttons and keychains.. can’t recall if i sold any.. but i think they look kinda odd on button/keychain.. they’ll look nicer on pendants or tees.. ok, i’m babbling..

I so enjoyed looking through Joan’s blog site and all the lovely items of jewellery she creates, that’s a very impressive sales tally there too …woow!! over 1K sold…i particularly loved the rosebuds made from polymer clay and the japanese beads…and the necklace that was round on the black velvet case, sooo beautiful….i can see why you like her necklaces very much….you can one day reward yourself with a necklace for all your hard work perhaps fa! or maybe you already did? lol

It’s just so annoying that the pressing of buttons has made your wrists sore, coz i remember you suffer from rsi or tenosyvitos? and this won’t be helping, but good now if you can take a big break. Do you go there again next market on 27/28? or is it a different date now?

I think it’s a great idea to sell your silent cries things there…why didn’t i think of this….and Fa…while I’m here….I honestly believe that mugs/coffee mugs would sell…..maybe could think about that too? for both silentcries and TIM and your
other cuties, animals and schmoo….i bet they’ll love schmoo…and how dare they
think that chibi fraz is some kind of rat….he looks like a kitten and the cutest kitten
i’ve ever seen in my whole life….he doesn’t have a hint of rat at all! lol

O i think the emo market is large and highly untapped…as ellen suggests. do go ahead with this…I’m sure there are lots of other things to, that you could try out, but we just haven’t had the bright ideas yet…that will come! did you think of tea towels, because this is something i think people will just love to buy, printed tea towels with your cutest characters on them, particularly black and white.

    hugs n glompz…

Oh noo, hope you get better, runny nose aren’t good :( (does Tim get em too then? :)))) does he rub his nose on his sleeve? lol!!)
    Glad you’re better :))
It’s so great to see you bubbling about the stall Fa! I’m so happy for you :))
I agree with Joan, silentcry is cute, beautiful and sad and deserves a little room on your stall! :)XXXXX

Fa, put an ice pack (frozen wheat bags are really gentle) on your neck, both wrists and lower arms at the same time, it works faster to relieve the ache. Stay like that for at least 10 minutes! and I take 2 advil/nurofen at the same time.

Joan’s jewellery is so pretty! I like her ballerina earings (about halfway down the page)... amongst a few others! A friend of mine (Vicki) makes jewellery too. They are such clever people :D Vicki’s work is beautiful too!

Thanks for the update. Its fantastic that things are starting to finally go well… at least you’ll be able to wake up with a smile and lots to look forward to!

Take care and keep smiling!!! xxGG
