My new website!

Hi gang! :)

Just a little update to let you know my new site is now up and running! Check out this link and update your bookmarks.

After a long and tiring scouting of the web in search of a new home for my images, I finally decided to give SmugMug a try. To me, the basic layout needed some further customization so I asked for help in their great support forum. All in all, I expected the whole customization thing to be more time consuming but I was wrong.

So I’d be glad to count you among my visitors :) Feel free to sign the Guestbook and if you want to keep updated on what’s going on you can subscribe to the news by email subscription in the News page.
I’ll be adding more links to friend redbubblers in the future too.

Ps. If you’ll ever decide to try SmugMug, remem…

Not much time...

Not much time to comment and upload new works lately. I promise I will catch up with all your wonderful works soon! :) I’m busy re-thinking the portfolio section of my site www.photo-sil.com… I’m trying to find out a more appealing and easy way to display my images so I’m spending much of my time browsing the net in search of software or trying it out.

Even so, I managed to post a new article on my blog on a wonderful artist I ran across a few days ago. Hope you enjoy it!

See you soon!

A sad day

I want to express my grief for the many victims of last night mud flood here in Messina .

I moved here from Northern Italy five years ago and fell in love with Sicily’s beauty and warm people. Light is magical here… Too bad Sicily (and most of Southern Italy) suffers from bad administration and has become such a tormented land.

The rain is still pouring right now and my thoughts go to those struggling for their lives and crying for a lost house, parent, friend…

Upsize?

I was wondering if you sometimes upsize your images before uploading to Redbubble. I know it’s better not to but I had a few cropped images I just upsized a little bit. Now I’m wondering if this will result in pixelated or blotched prints…

Any thoughts?

Wow! 20028 views!

Just seen my portfolio reached the 20028 views! That’s a great achievement for me. Let’s hope new visits bring new buyers too! :)

Cheers!

Need some formatting help for my rb page

Hi all :)

I’d really like to add some clickable thumbnails of my featured works on my RB page but have no clue on how to do it. I’d like something like this on tandoor page (btw, take the time to go through this artist’s fantastic work).

Anyone can help? I’ll be forever grateful :)

Silvia

Challenge and win deleted (mea culpa)

I guess I must start to be less in a hurry when submitting images to challenges. I always read the guidelines but sometimes I read them one day and submit images the other and just don’t re-read them… so chances are I will submit the wrong image. My fault.

So no wonder the admin of The Woman Photographer group deleted the whole ‘Unfocused’ challenge.

This will be a lesson for future submissions :)

Remember to read and re-read challenge submissions rules!
