At the risk of sounding rather full of myself, “real artists” have bios, so this is mine:
Born on August 21, 1963 & raised in British Columbia Canada, I’ve had the privilege of living in several places within this beautiful and inspiring province. At age 6, my parents moved the family to Prince George from Burnaby, where I attended elementary & high school. Art and history were always my favorite subjects and today that translates into an avid love for photography, digital arts, advertising, architecture & travel ~ neither of which I will ever get enough of.
By the time I turned 15, my parents decided to migrate the family south to Nanaimo on picturesque Vancouver Island. A year later I moved to East Vancouver, completing high school at David Thompson Secondary.
Flipping from one non-artistic job to the next, it wasn’t until my first child was born that I decided to use the “home time” to get my interior decorator certification. I worked directly with my husband in his home building business by assisting his clients with the finishing details of their new homes, while also apprenticing under interior designer Joanne Holt of C&S Interiors. This was very satisfying work, which led me to a deeper appreciation for the arts.
I’ve had a camera in my hands constantly for over 28 years, starting with a basic SLR, experimenting with black & white and spending many hours photographing the classic tourist attractions in the lower mainland of BC. I’ve worked with sketching & watercolor, but always fell back to the camera as my main choice for artistic expression. With the advent of digital cameras & Photoshop, I’ve been able to combine my affairs in various art forms with my love of photography. I can take images from my camera and turn them into something more than just photographs when so inspired. I have the ability to explore all the things I adore about art, architecture & travel through the digital medium and I feel whole again artistically.
Fundamentally, what I see with my natural eye is a broad perspective, but through a lens of my camera there is only one perspective, a part of the whole if you will. I hope you enjoy my visions, my parts of the whole, and very much appreciate your views and comments.
Currently, I have a number of perpetual projects on the go; photography/digital art, video blogging on my Internet Radio Show Beavertalk, video editing & singer/songwriter. My real estate photography business site is here Estate Photography. I have taken on the role of Mediator for the Artistic Libation Group, and co-host the Cityscapes & Skylines Group as well. I look forward to meeting some new fantastic artists thru these groups.

What would life be without the masters? I dread the thought. Picasso, Monet, Rembrandt, Da Vinci…masters and slaves to their love of expression.
...and as I look behind me from my husband’s computer where I’m typing this message, all I can see is a solid blue screen, and a faint flicker – like a weak heartbeat from a dying bi…
Lonely? Who me? Are you fracking kidding me? That’s such a sad little word. It’s only six shrinking violet coloured letters short and not the least bit friendly!
I offer you this story because, among other professions, interests and associations in his 71 years, Dr. William F. Pepper was once a photo journalist during the Vietnam War.
It is a risk, a whole hearted toss of all common sense at times, to release what lies beneath with full abandon to another person.
Art to me is the true essence of nakedness / The art bourn from each of us is a frozen place in time where we existed, either physically or mentally
