老虎和兔子 LaoHu he TuZi (Tiger and Hare)

Second in a series of 6 oil paintings of the Chinese zodiac done in the style of Tarot cards.
The Chinese often show the zodiac as couples, complementing each other with their respective faults and strengths.
This image shows the negative side-up, showing the Tiger’s childlike anger to confusion, while the Hare whiles away his time gossiping in the Tiger’s ear. The positive attributes of the signs are shown on the bottom, showing the Tiger’s nurturing side and the Hare’s good luck and fortune.

Very nice work. I very much like the imagry created here by the (two?) tigers. and the colors really work together as well.

Thank you. I guess that’s debatable as to whether or not it’s one or two tigers. The tiger on the top is the negative aspect of that zodiac sign, and the one on the bottom is the positive aspects.
