This is a true story !
Taken after Britton’s last storm, on 7-26-2011. I was stuck in Britton during the eighty mph. winds & heavy downpour. Tornado Sirens were going off.
This was taken on the way back to Hecla, between the swipes of the windshield wipers. I never stopped to shoot pictures, just sat the camera on the dash and kept shooting & driving. There were all kinds of tree branches & debris along the highway too.

Sadie & I were stuck in the car at a gas station. I had went in to pay for the gas, the power went & the wind & rain picked up. I told the clerk I had to get back to the car because my dog was sitting out there. They didn’t want me to go out, but I said that you need to help me open the door to get out. I was not about to leave my girl sitting out there all alone & scared. The force of the wind was holding the station door shut. Once I got to the car, the rain & wind were pounding with such force it rocked the car. Never so glad to get back home.

I shoot what I like & like what I shoot.
Everyone’s POV is different.
My passions are sunrises, sunsets & old buildings.
If you like my photos that is a plus if not that’s quite OK too.

Life is a journey and we never know what the final outcome will be.
Taking pictures is something I love to do & is part of my own personal journey.
For the time, I guess this is what I am suppose to do.

  • I’d go through HELL to make sure my girl was safe, Rick ! I wasn’t as scare for me as I was for Sadie. They don’t understand what is happening. Sadie was sure Happy to be Home. She headed straight for the house to get in. That is when I said a few thank you prayers for getting us Home Safe & Sound.
