Jagdgeschwader 52
Jagdgeschwader 52 (JG 52) (52nd Fighter Wing) was the most successful Luftwaffe fighter-wing of World War II, with a claim total of more than 10,000 victories over enemy aircraft. It was home to the top three scoring Experten of the Luftwaffe, Erich Hartmann, Gerhard Barkhorn and Günther Rall. The unit flew the various marks of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 exclusively through the war.

Cheers dude. I might have to do 53 and 51, they have some cool squadron logos that would go well in a design. Hopfully one of them flew the 262, I’m keen on doing a design for it

Thanks for those, I will get a couple more knocked out. Know of any JU87 squadrons? the stuka deserves an outing

Yeah – there’s a famous tank busting ace in the eastern front. The German Luft. fitted the stuka with 2 X 30 or 40 MM cannons and it really came into its own. So will get back to you on that one.

OK – google Hans Ulrich Rudel – Stuka Ace – best use of the Stuka since the western blitzkreig/Malta/Greece campaign

These graphics are really splendid. I am particularly interested in the WWII logos. JG52 was the highest-scoring Luftwaffe squadron in the war, but the most feared of all was JG26. They referred to themselves as “the Abbeville Boys,” but the allied bomber crews usually called them “the yellow-nosed bastards!”

Thanks for your comment mate that’s really interesting to know! I think you have just given me my next luftwaffe design. Cheers!
