These people say we should quit
They never think we would ever commit

Why is it that people hate the big and chunky
Always thinking that we only like junky

They would make a fuss when we are running
Then cover their eyes because we are a bit too stunning

What is it with people seeing us differently
All we want is to be treated fairly and gently

Over years of hearing the same slurs
They would think that nothing will occur

They would continue to call out tubby
When we are doing something scrubby

They would grab our stomachs and call out pudgy
When we are walking by or sometimes eating a fudgy

They would make sounds of a blimp and blow our ears to be inflated
When we are seeing, that we are being hated

They’ll be proven wrong when they see
That over weights have what it takes to be

We could run faster then the wind
We could throw a ball farther then the thinned
We could play a base clarinet
We could give our all and sweat
We could fight
And we could do things right

We have the ability to stand and show
That we are the same as them, head to toe

Artist's Description

Encouragement poem I created to empower the my overweight issue. I couldn’t stand up for myself when being bullied about it, so instead of raging, I write my feelings away on a paper and boost my self confidence that I have something amazing to show regardless of my weight.
