These kind of keyes used to open my grandparent’s farmhouse doors, and all the out buildings at the farm! The key to the house was hung on a nail by the door, so if they happened to be out, the visitors could go in. My other grandparents never locked their doors, they just placed a broom against the door when they left so the people knew that they weren’t home. The times have sure changed! Such a charming capture! xxxxx
